This is true, but in actuality, that's true of any team whose strength is robbed by another squad. It certainly isn't unique to Miles or LSU. Last year, one team took away our run--the second time we faced them.
They ought to film an episode of numb3rs about all these stats. But seriously...as far as the bleacher report goes...IT WAS A SPRING GAME...weren't several passes dropped and didn't the interception hit the receiver? The writer has an agenda that he's making a case for. He would make a better lawyer than a sports writer. In law, it has little to do with the truth and everything with making a case that the jury will believe...and that's what he's trying to do.
After looking at those pictures comparing the stars of Bama's and LSU's defensive backfield, I'd be tempted to go out and get a haircut if I wanted to own some real hardware instead of bling.
Unfortunately, the public is obsessed with (hero worshiping) QB play. Its a fixation. What actually wins football games is a superb defense and an offense that can control the clock and score just enough that they have 1 more point than the other team. That does not satisfy a vocal portion of the LSU fan base. They have a burning need to act like pricks and taunt opposing fans by wanting the team to run up scores, etc. Bottom line is that they would never be drawn to learning the rules of a game like chess. It's way too much work for their brains to engage in.
Exactly. And did we all forget how putrid the passing stats were from the 2011 spring game? But that didn't stop us from going 13-0. And oh yeah, Mett racked up 270yds through the air. If you can't see that as a substantial upgrade at the QB position, then I feel sorry for you
Honestly, I don't understand why we didn't give this dude the ball last year, because we just needed decency at the qb position and we win a national championship, but you can't look backwards. The sky is the limit I feel, hell of a running game, some up and coming receivers that want to prove themselves, and Mett who I hope will prove that he is SEC caliber.
with the schedule we played last year les might have wanted to keep mett from getting burned like jarret lee when he was a frosh. maybe it was his thinking that between jl and jj the team could've won the big ones. or. maybe by keeping mett out lsu will get to see mett as a jr and senior instead of mett living up to expectations and declaring for draft after jr year and leaving us with another under developed qb? les is a hell of a coach and i feel he does everything with the next season in mind. we stacked and deeeeep. i hope we go 14-0 but if nothing else. BEAT BAMAS ASSSS!!!!
Yeah, guess we just forget about the bonehead crap that has happened and just look at wins. Don't remember the last time a coach bombed so bad in a national championship game before good ole Leslie. Maybe bad losses have happened but dont recall the last time someone mailed it in. If we overlook it, eh maybe it will never happen again...pfff.
Let me ask this... if Mett comes in a tears it the f up, does Miles look anymore stupid to you, or will you just make the excuse that there was no way Mett was ready last season?
