Some people never forget misdeeds that were done to them and even worse they let it effect them forever. They can't let go of the pain and this has an adverse effect on them which makes them miserable. I would guess that at least 90% of all lsu fans were thoroughly disgusted with both the play calling, lack of qb substitution and the lack of execution; none of us want to ever see this happen again although I'm sure we will have many inept performances down the road. Most of us believe the coaches will learn from their mistakes and have a positive outlook for the future. A few others went to dwell on the negative & want everyone to be as miserable as them and will not stop unless knuckleheads like us quit responding. But we won't because we all love to argue.
Nor will he ever answer those questions to anyone's satisfaction. The more people accept that, the quicker they'll put it behind them.
Exactly. He doesn't owe us anything, and I can assure you that this loss meant more to him then it ever will to any of us. Further, any "explanation" that he would offer would only add fuel to the fire. It would just give the negatigers something else to key in on with regards to their criticism of Miles.
And how about he just doesn't know what went wrong. I grew up with a coach and sometimes, shit just happened without true rhyme or reason. However, the coach was always the one who suffered the most when it happened--and he didn't play the game.
If Miles went 24-0 and won 2 national championships during the next 2 seasons the negatigers would still be bitching because of any one or a combination of the following: He didn't pass enough He didn't run enough He called too many timeouts He didn't call enough timeouts It's really Chavis' defense that won all those games It's really Kragthorpe's QB coaching that won all those games Any coach can win at LSU (just ask Hallman and Archer) There are too many choir boys on the team There are too many shady players on the team We didn't win by enough points We ran up the score too many times Miles' recruits are really players that Saban didn't want anyway Miles recruits too many players from out of state Miles recruits too many players from Louisiana and not enough out of state Miles has an irrational favortism towards "Player_X" Miles has an irrational bias against "Player_X" Miles doesn't say enough in press conferences Miles says too much in press conferences Feel free to add more.
That's a bit much. I think the list could be shorter. No clock management issues. No QB situation like the last four seasons. Put the best guy on the field at each position. More inginuity for the offense. And never, ever, EVER, throw in the towel in a game. Let's hope Mett can help fix most of these this season.
