also i will note that cox, the guy who knows frenchby bestm, walked david wright 3 times yesterday to get to him. i have never seen such a pathetic thing. a team trades a trojan horse player to another team, hoping he will ruin them, exploits it, uses him against them, and even gets value in return.

every time you can trade a francoueueor to a rival, you do it, even if you have to pay his salary and get nothing in return. if you can be sure he will start for your opponent, you should be willing to give up other prospects with nothing in return.

you might as well start geert hammink in right field.

this was a day after the kid was 2-5 with a RBI, too.

Imagine what it will be when the 0-5 with 3K's day comes.

some of you might remember that for years i have pointed to frenchy as an example of how baseball is slow to embrace reality and statistics.

the mets traded away ramon castro (one of the better nl backstops, relegated to backup duty by idiotic mets decisionmakers) in order to find playing time for omir santos, who is far, far worse. and now they trade away ryan church, who would be a damn good right fielder if were platooned, for a player that, and i cannot stress this enough, is historically bad. francouer is worse than almost any right fielder in the minor leagues at any level.

french 2008 vorp: negative 16.9! his "value over a replacement player" is negative. he is taking 16 runs away from the team that you could have back, not by calling up an all star, but by replacing him with an idiot single a moron replacement player, who costs zero and is virtually infinitely available.

how can a baseball executive in modern america have this guy on the team? i genuinely dont understand it.

this is like playing a running back that fumbles the ball every third carry. why is he playing? why? i cant stand it. jesus christ wtf.

The incident between Minaya and the reporter was beyond bizarre.

    Minaya needs to go.
