Merry Christmas, everyone. This is a strange one because it's the first Christmas since my dad died. We threw all tradition out, drove down to BR yesterday, and will take my mom to our beach condo in Gulf Shores tomorrow. Maybe some long walks on the beach will be healing.
Weird Christmas here too. Both of us have been sick, very sick for the last few weeks. We have canceled both visits away and visits to us. The front door is the only thing we got decorated. The rest is piled up in one of the spare rooms awaiting deployment. It will be deployed back into storage as soon as I have the strength. At 28 degrees, the power substation failed last night. Back on now but it got a little cold in here. Internet/cable and phone also all failed. Internet was restored about an hour ago. We're used to the power being out from hurricanes but our generator and room A/C's set up isn't designed for cold??????? Mass will be on TV this year. But somehow, this morning, hope and his peace still reign supreme. Merry Christmas Everyone!
