Please read my post over slower this time. Pay attention to the beginning of the first sentence when I hope that EVERYONE has a BLESSED Christmas. I was remembering a portion of our society who are not able to celebrate this holy day with family because they are serving our country away from their homes. As a veteran I too spent times such as these away from loved ones. In fact I am spending another Christmas away from home due to working in the oilfield. Asking people to think of others before themselves is the whole message Christ tried to convey when he was here. Remember he said the first shall be last and the last shall be first. He preached about serving one another. He even washed the apostles feet at the last supper and instructed them to be servants. It appears that you are too quick to judge people and why would you attack someone's well wishes for others? This is not Veteran's day,you implied that. I also know that although Christ's birth is important we should celebrate that he is our Lord and Savior who gave his life for the forgiveness of our sins and that all who believe upon him shall be saved. so repent and be baptised in the name of the Lord. Christ's death and resurrection are what we need to celebrate everyday. God Bless.
Without our armed forces. Those willing to sacrifice their lives to defend our country. Along time ago we would have fallen to an enemy and may not have to the right to Christian worship freely as we do. That is without the government intruding. Why do you think the pilgrims left England, John. Study your history a little. You think you can openly celebrate Christmas in Iran? Do you think Hitler would let Jews celebrate Hanukah? What if the sacrifices made by people willing to defend the country weren't made and the Axis powers were victorious in WWII? What state run church would you attend John. I truly hope that EVERYONE was able to celebrate Christ's birthday and receive many blessings from our heavenly Father. I also hope that some people can save a little time to thank God for our service members in harms way also. No this isn't Memorial day, but being able to communicate freely over the internet is another small freedom we have because someone is still on the line protecting it. Thank you and God Bless you all.
