Re: Can we Make an "Official Injuries" Thread?

If we get to the Nat'l Championship Game, I feel bad for the team who has to play us. A month for this team to heal could be fatal.

That said, our next two weeks are going to be extremely difficult. ALL of our thumpers are hurt.

I heard on 1210 the score today that Trindon has a possible <scared to say it>...high ankle sprain. If so, that would NOT be good as far as his availability the next two weeks.

He's projected back for the SECCG. I hated to tell OT since he was one of her TF picks.

Beckwith and Dorsey are expected to play though.

Well, obviously, Dorsey is the biggest void if he can't go, but at least we have some talented depth...I know that that depth on the D-line will be tested greatly by McFadden and Co.

Cutrera filled in ok for Beckwith and made a couple of nice plays.
Doucet and Chad Jones can both fill in if needed for Holliday. Obviously, neither is as quick or shifty as Trindon, but they are adequate.

Tolliver has made some nice plays and has contributed all season, but it's not like he's a focal WR in our offense. If we had to go without Tolliver this week, at least it's assuring to know that we have Doucet, Byrd and Lafell and be ok...and throw in either of the Mitchells....

What about Favorite? If he is out I would like to see Drake Nevis in his place. He has been impressive the few times he has played.

    Re: Was Holliday Injured?

Yes, it could be tricky... but I doubt with our depth at these positions I would call it serious.

Dorsey being out hurts us inside, but Nevis is making a name for himself and looks to have a brilliant career.

Beckwith stings because I see him as a tweener style LB/DE type player, but Cutrera has done well in relief of him. I think we will see some of Odom also now that the troubles have blown over. With Highsmith, and Sanders I think we will be fine.

Holliday hurts, but Keiland has great speed also. We are deep at running back, so although we lose world class speed and a couple of gimmick plays... I don't think this hurts our overall offense... it will however dampen special teams... but I hope Chad Jones gets kick offs with Keiland.

Favorite will hurt, alot because it further hurts our Depth on the line, but I think this will be a non factor as we will stack the box against Arkansas and force Casey Dick to throw on us. The only receiver worth his salt is Monk and I'm sure Chevis can do fine in man against him, with Steltz helping out on the deep stuff.

If Felix Jones doesn't play them I'm not worried about this game at all. McFadden is great... but he can't carry the ball everytime.

My only real fear is if FJ and DMac play... just remember how well our special teams have done against mediocre teams. Now picture DMac and FJ running back kicks and punts.... ouch.

 Doubtful. He was kicked off the team.

He was 3rd string & wouldn't have seen the field regardless.

When was he kicked off the team? I had no idea... and I really thought (other then the trouble) he had a huge upside.

He was but ended up coming back in the Ole Miss game, so I would assume it is just some bruised ribs.
