    Re: Was Holliday Injured?

Holliday was iced during the game and wearing an inflatable splint on his ankle after the game. He told reporters that he would be good to go for Arkansas . . . but I wonder.

Dorsey's injury worries me even more. The sideline reporter said he was in pain and rubbing his back. A hurt back on top of a gimpy knee could sideline him.

    Re: Injuries piling up.

With a short week we'll be pretty banged up playing against Arkansas.

This will be a tough 2 game stretch.

This isn't the NFL. Every game counts when you are chasing the NC. We might be able to let some guys rest, but not all of them. Hopefully we rotate our guys consistently until we build up a lead & allow us to bench our starters.

Is this the latest word? I haven't heard this.

If Holliday, Dorsey, Beckwith, and Favorite are out for the Arky game, we will have serious problems.

I like to think it is an opportunity for Murphy, Woods, Cutrera, and Nevins to shine. These are all going to be good players when they get enough PT under their belts.

Remember when a nobody named Matt Mauck came in and became a champion?

Ok with all of the injuries on Defense, I HOPE we do like we did agaisnt Ole Miss and come out with a productive drive for a score right off the bat, maybe twice and not play come from behind ball again.

This will keep our D fresh and help them. I know that everyone KNOWS this but with a gimpy defense we can't afford to get in a come from behind game. Make their Defense play hard and get tired not ours. We need a big running game, smash mouth ball control offensive game plan and we need it to work in the 1st QTR.

Keep the ball out of McFadden's hands and in KW's, and Murphy's ..etc..

Speaking of Beckwith-- I think he believes he will be ready to play Arky, and Dorsey expects to play also according to a source on another forum. Take it for what it is worth. Hopefully, Favorite's injury will make progress also. He didn't look 100% either.
