Says who? Watch the rest of the game. Over half the time we are in that formation the outside receiver is off the line. Just because a guy is in the slot does not mean he has to be off the line.
like he said in the game yesterday "IM THE HEAD COACH" well guess what that means. that means that he takes the blame every coach b4 him takes the blame and every1 after him will take the blame so guys is not excused. if you got out coached well guys thats just what happened you got out coached... we pay this guy 7 figures a year to take the blame....
What an absolutely stupid post. Miles is 34-6 over a three year period and this clown wants to fire him for "poor coaching." Now matter how good a coach is, he will lose games. But there is a small cadre of LSU fans who views so much as a single loss a sign of poor coaching. No coach alive will ever satisfy these fans. Every coach has strenghts and weakness; successes and failures. Miles is no different. I will agree Miles' teams have lacked discipline, and he has to take the criticism for that. But he wins, and he wins a lot more than he loses. That is the bottom line.
You're trying to over simplify things. I don't think fans are saying that one loss makes Miles a poor coach or that he is a poor coach at all. However when a very talented team makes the same mistakes over and over and over that does indeed fall on the coaching staff. LSU lost 2 games this year to teams with much less talent with coaches that have been on the hot seat their entire career. This staff does have some big holes and some major shortcomings and it should be ok to discuss them. An unranked team with a very average coaching staff came to our house and knocked us out of the national championship race because we were out coached and out executed. Surely some of that blame falls on a coaching staff even though they have done a pretty good job in most areas most of the season.
Could it be that this LSU football team is a group of young men prone to mistakes and not the perfect Supermen everyone wants to believe they are? That they overcome the worst coach in the NCAA all but 6 times in 3 years? Pretty stupid to even think that... We have talent, yes, but so does 8-9 of the other teams in the SEC as does the PAC10 and 3-4 of the top teams in other conferences. The days of just dominating your way to a championship is over boys... Geez people get a grip...
