We beat Rice twice already this year. I was at the home match. We took the doubles point and courts 3 4 and 5. Mikey Venus lost to their number 1 at LSU, but beat him when they played at rice Tennis matches are a lot of fun. The whole swimming and diving team comes out and haggles the opposing team to no end.
"Mikey Venus"??????????? Heckling from the swim and dive team....... Anyone see why I don't care? View attachment 11873
go ahead and tell anyone from the S&D team that. you would get your ass worked. And stop being a douche. Tennis is a good sport, and fun to watch. especially when you are watching a nationally ranked LSU team. :yelwink2:
i agree. there is something to be said for the how easy it is to go see such a high level of competition. i go watch uga tennis some. they are very good. i love being able to decide to go watch a match a couple hours beforehand. easy in-easy-out-and just as high level competition as any more popular sport.
I do just tennis every now and then. But most of the time, I make it part of a multi sport day. I'll catch a match after a baseball game or something like that. A couple of my friends were really good in highschool and had scholies to play at different small schools around texas la and miss. So gong with them makes it all the more fun
"you would get your ass worked". Hmmm............................................. Can't say I've ever "got my ass worked". Can't say it sounds enjoyable either. I think thats kinda what I would expect if I got cornered by the S&D team that was pissed off at me, or even in love with me for that matter (not that there's anything wrong with it, if that's what you're into). LOL.................lighten up Francis, I was only funnin you.
LSU, Ole Miss Advance in NCAA Tennis Regional and will play Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Live Stats will be available to look in on the score, automatically refreshes every 60 seconds. If LSU pulls off the upset, the "righteous indignation" from Ole Miss should be fun to watch
I don't understand tennis scoring, maybe only the best performances count and that's why they use the order of finish? Whatever the method, it's a final: LSU 2 - Ole Miss 4 Seems like the Tigers did OK - Stats / scoring So Ole Miss heroically hits the road, and in front of a hostile crowd of 275 they manage to overcome the odds
ah.... well Ole Miss is really good. On a up note of the tourney, LSU completed a 3 match season sweep of Rice. Scoring isn't too hard. The two teams play a best of 7. there are 3 doubles matches. which ever team wins 2 of the 3 gets 1 point. After that there are 6 singles matches. each one of them worth 1 point the first team to 4 points wins the whole thing.
