For me, no. Had USC won, I'd have been feeling damn great about it, and it wouldn't have mattered what the sport. I think there is football and there is everything else. I'd rather have a NC in Football than any other sport but when there's a national title on the line, it's a national title and I want it.
Right, and that's why I wanted to update the thread title to emphasize that we won a National Championship!!! Any NC is awesome. We hadn't won it in golf in most of our lifetimes. We have threads about potential football recruits that have 600+ posts in them, and they don't even end up a Tiger. We win the NC in golf and have a nice little thread going. Hey, @65Grad, add a comment to the thread title "Men's Golf 2015 National Champs!!!" to reflect this accomplishment appropriately (I know the thread was created prior to them winning). Thanks, amigo!
Uh, sorry, if I'm a mod I didn't know it and I can assure you that I would probable be the least qualified person on this forum to be a mod. However, my son has a BS and an MS in computer engineering, but, unfortunately he's not qualified either 'cause he is a graduate of the University of Alabama and your typical Gump fan.

We are far enough out from it at this point that not many will comment anymore, but it looks better to see that in the title. Funny, when I was listening to the commentating, Buddy Alexander was one of them. Pretty sure he was LSUs coach when I was there in the 80s. Went on to win a NC at FLA, apparently? Someone on here said that the commentators were pro "red", meaning USC. I did not get that at all, and I listened to the original and the rebroadcast. In fact, I think they all picked LSU to win when they went through their predictions in the pre-match. They seemed pretty balanced, and most felt LSU would take it, which they did. Poised group of young men to win the NC when they were 7th seeded overall. Also, they won the SEC championship this year, and outplayed Vandy and UGA to get to that final NC match, and they were both higher ranked going into the NCAAs. Apparently, LSU has a great incoming recruiting class, too, so this may be the first of several. Looks like Coach Winstead has built a great program.
Haven't followed college golf since college, had no idea Tigers were that good. That is great news. Can any of those guys throw a pass?
