WoW! this team has some fight in it! that'll be on highlights tonight! 60-52 lsu little over a minute
Like night and day from just last season. Lots of heart and fight in this team. Just have to learn how to win these tough tight games late. They did exactly that today. A defensive clinic was put on today by LSU. Almost every shot contested. Good days are ahead for this program.
Exciting last couple of minutes in a game where the second team to 45 found a way to pull away for the solid victory!
Nice finish to this one. Things not looking so great when we were down by 7 points; great to see the guys not give up and to really pick up the intensity. The D looked great down the stretch, forcing a number of turnovers. Bring on the SEC! :geaux:
Chris Bass bring a lot of energy to the team when he is on the floor. The most impressive part of the game was having 4 bench players on the court, down by seven, and they get us a 1 point lead over the next 5 minutes until the starters came in. Them being able to contribute gives me much more confidence in this team about SEC play.
Nice win. At 10 - 1, when was the last time we had this good of a start. Granted our RPI is pretty sad, but todays game is a good measuring stick. We go strong through the SEC and finish top 2 in the Conference tourny, this could shape up to be a strong 1st yr for Coach Johnson and the Tigers.
This is hardly a team over flowing with talent, but he seems to be able to get them to play. If he can ramp up the recruiting he may be able to get something going. I have to admit I really didn't know much about Trent before LSU hired him and it wasn't a hire that had many overly excited, but he seems to be getting the job done. I like the way the team plays, it's a very welcomed change. It is hard to tell just how good they are though against the current level of competition they have faced. I look forward to seeing where Trent leads this team, the future looks brighter.
