They played well tonight; just couldn't get the shots to fall in the 2nd half.

Coach Johnson has this team looking pretty good.

Especially not without Taz or Marcus. Marcus Thornton is simply unbelievable. Well Taz isn't half bad either...

I'm really impressed with the Tigers Defense tonight. Typically in the past if the tigers would have went 0-12 and a 7min 40 sec slump, they would have come out losing by at least double digits. LSU was able (with great D) to keep game close. If they hit 40% of those 12 shots they would have been leading! Definitely building something for the future.

Well, they did lose by double digits, but other than that I agree! I really like CTJ's style. Once he gets his own players in the system... look out!

Just got back from the game. Announced crowd of about 13K. Biggest crowd ever in the PMAC since they renovated it. It was pretty nice, still some empty seats though. Thornton is gonna get his and did. We had no answer for the Xavier big men. Chris Johnson was getting worked on defense and Taz is still small as power forward. But they made the changes needed and almost made up for it.

Afterwards, all the fans were cheered the team on and that's a great sign. We finally have a team to get excited about and to actually show up to the games for. Coach Johnson is the man!

I watched the game on TV, first time I've seen them this year. They looked pretty good to me. I see a team we can be very proud of.:geaux:

I watched the game and was amazed at just how loud the crowd got for a "basketball" game.
I have forgotten over the years how loud the crowd could be.
Its great to see the Tigers not give up and play hard.
I simply can't wait until Coach Johnson gets a few of his recruits, big men to see what he can really do.
This team just doesn't have the depth especially in the box.

Great game to make a run at the end, shows character even if they came up a little short!

    100 % agree.

Well coached team with a lot of heart and fight. Something we haven't seen in a long time.

We're one good inside scorer away from being a legit top 25 team.

Only got to watch the 1st half and was very impressed with the play. As said before, a legit big man and we will be dangerous. Really nice to see how far this team has come. Still very much in this, and I think we tear up the Sec. Geaux Tigers!!!!!!

    One can dream.
