I heard the people on TV saying this is the best start for LSU basketball in 60 years.

I saw the same thing across the screen and found it odd. It actually read that this is the best start by an LSU coach. I was wondering if they meant best start for a first year head coach.

Two convincing SEC wins in a row. The team is getting better.

Exactly. Remember this is a Ole Miss team that played Florida close in Gainesville and beat Arkansas at home. The Tigers were ready to play and jumped all over them.

So, for some folks out there that had started to doubt Trent, I submit this. This was a game where 4 players scored in double digits, we outrebound them by over a dozen, we have almost a 4 to 1 asst to TO ratio, and where we beat a SEC home team by 30. Now I know folks are going to say tomorrow that Ole Miss isn't good, but this is a significant win in the grand scheme of things.

Largely, b/c all of the things that Trent is preaching, i.e., being mentally tough and ready, being able to play 40 minutes of intense basketball, and playing as a team, are starting take shape of this team. I doubt we would've seen this kind of consistent effort before this year, and that's a testament to the coaching folks. In every season there are moments, games, impactful points in the season, where a team matures or stumbles and determines what kind of season they will have. I feel like last year, the loss to Villanova after losing a 21 point lead did it for the Tigers last year. Perhaps this first road win, a win by over 30 over border state SEC rival Ole Miss, is this year's moment? :)

:geauxtige BE A PART OF THE TRENT JOHNSON ERA.

I don't think so. It seems we started 14-0 once (maybe around the mid-late 80's) and the 80-81 Final Four team went 17-1 in the SEC and I think had the most victories in the country that year.

I thought they would win it all that year (1981) but Rudy Macklin was banged up and that little "boy kisser", sexist & racist freak Isiah Thomas and his psycho coach ended up with the title.

No specifically, Warren's been out for six games I believe. Even hurt, this OM team beat Arkansas.

Your guys played a great game yesterday. I got home a little after the game started and turned it on and it was already a 20 point game. I'm not looking forward to that game in Knoxville. Maybe one of your guys can hang 60 on us.
