Memphis Basketball to Vacate Wins from 07-08 Season

    i dont believe its "official" yet, but the commercial-appeal is reporting that memphis basketball is going to have to vacate its 38 wins from its 07-08 season.

    i wonder how kentucky feels about hiring coach cal now?

    hmmm.... imagine that. calipari gets another team in trouble. is there a bit of a pattern here?

    i think this is a dumb rule. vacating wins is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of.

    They are arguing to the grave that these incidents had nothing to do with Cal.

    right. and its just a coincidence umass got into trouble from incidents that occured when he was there.

    they can just keep telling themselves he's innocent.

    Send them the links in my prior post - I know they will never admit it - but I suspect what really makes some of them mad is that when Cal was interviewing for the UK job he and Memphis knew about the NCAA probe and never mentioned it. The local paper indicated the NCAA releases nothing initially and leaves it up to the school.

    Maybe the folks at the University of Memphis are smarter than some give them credit for being.

    They really have no doubts about him. Cal is their savior. He has not done anything wrong in his life.

    Kentucky basketball fans make Alabama football fans sound rational.

    You are absolutely right about vacated wins...it's stupid....now if we can figure out a way to vacate some of those losses last year in football !!!! :hihi:.
