If this was a plan to get more people posting or to find out the number of people who read and don't post... well, that would be super lame. I have a bad feeling that this is why the thread was started :dis:

Gradin is not deceitful, he's very upfront about things and though I don't even know if there was actually a prize ever given, I can assure you that he didn't do it maliciously or to be fraudulent.

If his reason was only to get people to post, what's wrong with that? Many people need a reason to get started and then, once they break maiden, love it and we enjoy new and different opinions here. We have a pretty witty bunch who hang here and a lot of knowledge about LSU sports, cooking, movies, and even American Idol. :hihi:

Don't assume that just because he's been registered since 2003, he hasn't been here even earlier than that (pre-:crystal: ).

I've been a lurker since well before my registration date (Dec '03), and I have seen the glory days of TF come and go. The posters and topics aren't quite the same anymore. Anyone who's been around for 5 years or so can tell you just how good this forum used to be.

These are the three best things about the board now:
1. Photoshops of opposing coaches/players,
2. The classy fans from Iowa, Alabama, and Auburn, and
3. The whiners that come out after a football loss.

I cannot tell you how much it cheers me up to come to the board after an LSU loss. Sometimes people can be hilarious without even knowing it. This was really helpful after the Tennessee loss in '05.

These are the three worst things about the board now:
1. The lack of rational thought from the self-proclaimed experts in the forum (mainly because they are bandwagon fans),
2. The fight for others to reach a billion posts, even when they have 5 pointless posts for every decent one, and
3. The whiners that come out after a football loss (the sword cuts both ways... as funny as it may be to me, we do look pretty pathetic to opposing fans).

Wow, now I too seem like a whiner, but if most people knew how good this forum used to be, they'd feel the same way. This forum was easily one of the best sports forums on the net (arguably the best). I used to be proud of how intelligent the posts in this forum used to be, but I feel that it has degraded more and more each year. Of course, this is not always the case, and I am caught off guard by the class and great thought of some of our posters. This is one of the reasons that I will always come back to TF. Thanks to all of the classy people that make TF worth visiting :thumb:
