When you consider the choir boys the Heisman has gone to in the last two years alone, the morality clause is laughable.
TM takes this award hands down next year ... 1. Preseason campaign by LSU will make a huge difference 2. Repeating or back-to-back :crystal::crystal: will almost give it to him 3. Maybe even a few offensive plays to juice things up ... Let him score a couple of TDs inside the red zone ... icing on the cake Eyes on the prize ... something to motivate him "to even greater things" if you can possibly imagine this ... It's just unbelievable NOW what he does Imagine him "stepping it up a notch" next year
I disagree. The award already gives too much weight to the best player on the best team. This would only make that worse.
I think that bowl game performance from the previous bowl season should be taken into account, if you hand out the award before any of the bowls.
Here's an idea..... Why not give the award for the best player in college football, to the best player in college football... I know that's kinda crazy and out there, but I'm trying to think outside the box here.
The girl that was slated for 8th grade student of the year several years, got preggers. She was still a great student, but that pretty much nixed student of the year for her. Like they say in the navy, "One awshoot erases 25 attaboys."
