1. Glenn Dorsey DT 11. Ali Highsmith LB (2nd linebacker taken) 21. Doucet WR (3rd receiver taken) 24. Jackson CB (3rd cornerback taken) Interestingly Lavelle Hawkins comes in at #16, he was a verbal to LSU before decommitting to Cal. Our cup overfloweth. Had Arnold not suffered his injury, we would maybe be looking at a potential 5th player (although offensive guards have a tough time getting drafted in the first round).
Didn't Lavelle Hawkins actually come to LSU, then sit out a year? I remember he was very homesick and didn't want to stay after he got here.
does kiper still have hester as the #1 sr RB? anyone else see loadholdt listed by SI as a top ten draft prospect? how good would this OL be with him at RT?
Saints might need a bruiser depending on how Duece comes out, Hester could fit! That would be awesome!
maybe so, someone else could probably confirm that seems like he did register for classes and left immediately after the semester started
A lot of the rankings will change once some juniors announce they are foregoing their senior seasons. Desean Jackson would be the top WR taken and Lauranaitis the top LB if they declare. Someone like Doucet can move up the list once he stays healthy. Jackson might move up if his 40 time is good enough. Dorsey will probably be the second ranked overall player behind McFadden.
He has Hester as #4 Senior RB behind Hart (UM), Johnson (E. Car) and Savage (Okla St) Matt Forte is #5. Didn't we recruit him as well? Or was that another Forte? Seemed like the Forte I am referring to was a FB.
I agree. McFadden can thank Adrian Peterson for solidifying an overall #1 pick next year. Nobody is going to take a chance at losing a chance at a franchise RB again. Six teams passed up on Peterson in last years draft.
