I know. These are hard times for us. I am not afraid to admit that this shit makes my stomach turn. Miles was a Legend here at LSU. As much as he has frustrated the hell out of me and as much as I agree a change is needed, I never wanted things to become a shit show like this.
Honestly I wish Miles would have just hired an OC and gave them control of the offense rather than all of this happen.
Yeah, I think we all wish that. I've been wishing that for years, now my avatar is a minion holding a teddy bear.
Yeah but when is it not a shit show? When a coach gets fired, things aren't going well. It's the nature of the beast. It's about damage control. Since when do you ever see firing someone as a good thing? You don't get fired bc you are kicking ass at your position. I'm just gonna have faith the we are a good enough program to get back to NC and SEC title contention within a few years. Hopefully the drop off is not too big. Remember Saban's 1st year? I don't actually expect to really contend next year. I hope we do, but I am tempering my expectations big time.
I picked LSU losing 4 games at the start of the season. 1 against Ole Miss, 1 against Alabama, I thought we'd lose at South Carolina and against Auburn. At no point did I expect a 3 game losing streak or double digit ass whoopins. I also didn't expect 3 road games that would have over 35 penalties for over 300 yards and multiple TD's called back along with around 300 yards of rushing for Fournette wiped out because of them as well. The way the wheels have fallen off have really spoken loudly and I think is a major reason I think we need to see a change, I'd rather Miles make the changes, I just don't think he would.
Yep. Miles has had nearly 5 years since that 2011 debacle to "make the changes". He has failed at doing it. It makes me sad because of how good of a person he is, but the saying, "Nice guys finish last" really feels approriate in this situation. No fire in the belly anymore. I don't feel too sorry for him though. He's plenty rich and will want for nothing the rest of his life.
