To be honest, I only started dieting and running due to certain health ailments that run in my family... like diabetes, and I was on the fast track to ending up insulin dependent. With a major change in diet and exercise, I have lowered my resting heart rate to the low-mid 50's and possibly reversed the direction my health was headed in. The woman enjoys the rediscovered stamina too, a win win.
