He sure sounds good. I remember reading legendary stuff about Harvey Williams, Russell Shephard, Cam Cameron, Les Miles, and even about Curly Hallman. Point being is that you can read all kinds of great stuff about someone and that helps feed our curiosities and initial buy-in for all of us, but you don't know what you have with a lesser known until they are in the saddle at that particular school. For me, you know about as well what you'll get as you can with Jimbo. Herman would certainly be the top up and coming choice foe me. I would still put Strong #2, behind Jimbo, but I know many here don't agree with that.
Wow, a coherent to the point presser that addresses what actually happened on the field. Geaux get this guy now
We are replacing 110-32 over an 11 year span. Can this be the kind of guy that can challenge longevity and success? This guy is a mover with rare opportunities to expand his stay. I think it may be too much to ask for anyone to match miles record at LSU, but still, this is the kind of gig that should be lasting for any coach who wants to coach big time football. Not sure we can get that out of Jimbo. This guy seems to have a pedigree that could sustain success. tirk, could you provide a metrics on this guy over the last 8 years? Thanks...
That's the thing, depending on who comes in, success could very well mean he gets poached by the no fun league
