Im trying to get a gauge how long people have followed Herman to want to commit the program to him.

Probably no more than a week for most.

I'll admit I probably didn't know he was a week or two ago.

I have family that lives in Houston and they've been talking to me all year about him. Plus with what he did the last few years at OSU, especially last year, I just think he's the real deal.

And I love how his team responded today to their first lost from last week. A lot different then the way LSU responded to their first lost this year.

Most of those jumping on the Herman bandwagon never heard of him 3 weeks ago. Lets just bring in a bunch of coaches and vote one off the show every week

As bad as our offense has been the last decade, it is no wonder that anyone with offensive success will get much awaited enthusiasm. Read on another board about Jimbo having to remain in the State of Florida if he wants joint custody of his kids. He is my favorite as I believe he would have the greatest impact on recruiting. Mainly keeping what we got in house, and attracting a QB. I would hope that Alleva has someone ready to go, or he may be a bigger idiot than Les has been.

And who here has been checking in on Jimbo every week? The guys resume doesn't change based on the fact that it's the first time you read it, it is what it is. During last year's search for a DC it was the first time I had heard of Pendergast, but his resume spoke for itself, I wanted him as DC. It was also the first time I had heard of Steele, but his resume spoke for itself, I didn't want him anywhere near LSUs defense.

On a similar note many here had heard of Cam long before he was mentioned as OC for LSU, how'd that hire work out?

oh it matters. you dont want to just marry a chick when all youve seen is her touched up glamour shots. You just wanna bang her.

Guys always thinking with just their dicks. We are looking for a 5 yr marriage at least which is long by todays standards. Gotta know the ins and outs of this dude before we commit that much money.

Like every other Les Miles OC. Horrible analogy.

Exactly, so who cares when the first time was that anyone heard about Herman? It has zero impact on whether or not he would be a good HC.
