Was it called American Drug War? That's a great documentary. If not which one are you talking about, I would like to watch it.
it was awhile back. ill have to check. I ran across this one trying to look in my old netflix queue. Prisons for Profit . NOW on PBS yeah that was a small detail I forgot. Even worse.
those number seem suspect. 100% of military helmets? 98% of "equipment assembly"? i dunno about all that.
There was a show on the science channel called " how it's made" that showed them making Kevlar helments and nowhere did they show inmates. They showed them making them from begining where the Kevlar was cut out and pressed to the end when the holes were drilled for chin straps and the liners attached. Maybe prisoners may recondition old helments but nothing was said in the tv show about them building them new.
love how its made. but it was a Canadian show, so those were likely Canadian helmets being stamped out in manitoba. still though, certainly it isnt likely that 100% of us helmets are from prisons. i think tirk has some numbers from a liberal anti capitalist rag. prisons surely make some money, but it cant be much, labor dosent get any less skilled than prisoners.
i used to tivo that show and watch every episode. like every third one is making hockey equipment. this week, pucks, next week, goalie masks!
