God, these people move like snails.

One step from his undeniable firing, he's still with the team but won't be in attendance vs Nebraska.

Penn State's Mike McQueary will not coach against Nebraska

The players are still in denial:

Earlier Thursday, Penn State players expressed their support for McQueary, who is the team's receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.

"He's handled it very well. You would've thought nothing had ever happened...it's like that situation never came up," cornerback Stephon Morris. "I want him out there, we need him out there, he has a good heart. A lot of people probably thought he could've done more, but he did what he could and he has a good heart."

    Good God.

    Yeah you right Stephon.

If that 10 year old was your little brother you woulda already have ripped McQueary's head right off.

The next time I hear about anybody saying they feel bad for anybody in this case other than the victims of that f'n monster I'm gonna barf.

If I am on the BOT, I want to find a way to fire McQuaery, but Whistleblower Protection laws may not allow it.

My personal opinion is that McQueary was derelict in his duty to FOLLOW UP on his report of misconduct to ensure two things:

    1) all officials at all levels understood very clearly exactly what he witnessed: Sandusky aggressively thrusting with his penis into the anus of a 10 year old boy; the boy anchoring himself against the shower walls with his upheld arms, and the boy with his legs spread and anchored on the shower floor. McQueary had the duty to ensure that Paterno would be able to describe this event in those exact words, without confusion, to all PSU officials and all law enforcement officials

    2) Seek out those law enforcement officials responsible for completion of the investigation of his report of misconduct and inquire into the progress of the investigation, MAKING CERTAIN to express his willingness to testify under Oath with regard to what he witnessed (exactly described above). If a year or so passed without ANY action against Sandusky, McQueary had a duty to follow up further with law enforcement officials, up to and including the Governor, to ensure that the crime that he witnesses was prosecuted.

McQueary did the right thing AT FIRST, but, he had a continuing duty to follow up, and, he failed to do his duty. PSU cannot afford to have McQueary on campus. McQueary is a coward.

I would never tolerate a coward in my crew. Why would PSU do so?

His absolute first mistake was to not run across the room and crow-hop punch this dude' lights out and then stomp his nuts into jello. Everything else is secondary.

He's been taken out of the game "Due to multiple threats made against....."

Why is this guy receiving threats?

Then again, if Paterno's mistake -- essentially a "sin of omission" -- was a fireable offense, why does McQueary still have a job? Didn't he commit the same sin?

And are any of the jackwads who are turning over TV trucks and knocking down light poles concerned that Paterno did nothing while one of his staff was raping kids?

Can this situation get any more insane?

It's being speculated that "RED" has been the only one of the fired or those on administrative leave that has told the story in great specifics. That may make him, unwittingly, the closest ally that the BOT has for justifying the total demolition of the Penn State hierarchy. Sounds crazy given his culpability in this crime he witnessed, but JoePa and the AD and VP have been vague at best in their description of 'REDS" accusations and thus admitting responsibility for these atrocities.

Now the BOT has to justify all of this.

Apparently, there are some Whistleblower Protection laws in place that may arguably protect McQueary from adverse action. That might explain some of the weirdness of how the McQ situation is being dealt with by PSU right now.

If they had a clear shot to do so, my opinion is that the BOT would fire McQueary effective immediately.

BUT, the other thing to consider is: If PSU fires McQueary, does that help the Sandusky defense team's efforts to discredit McQueary and his testimony?

Then they need to find another reason to fire him. I'm sure once the law is done they may not have a choice. He should be locked up along side Sandusky for being a coward.
