McKnight just got back from USC visit...

Haven't heard much. Apparently he and Chad Jones went over there together. As expected, they did not commit while there. Supposedly they liked it a lot and I'm sure USC did the usual job for that kind of talent. I hope McKnight and Jones start making some more visits to LSU. I'd sell my soul to see those two young men from Louisiana play for LSU.

McKnight should be phenomenal. I think he would benefit a lot having Williams and Hester in there with him. He'd have a senior full back and Williams seems to have a different (more big guy) style of running that along with McKnight could be a devastating duo. I think it could work out to where Williams played the role of Deuce and McKnight the role of Bush. I think after a year or two McKnight would just take over and run like Kenny Irons did last year, McFadden did this year, and Carnell Williams did for Auburn. In my opinion he's the perfect mixture of strength and speed and from all accounts he's a GAMER! Jones would be great too. If we got them both they would go a long way to our continued success along with some pretty damn good personal achievements I'm sure. I also think they would seriously miss out by not going to an SEC school. I could go on but I already sound ridiculous I'm sure. This kid's got it, that's all I can say.

One more thing, if they stayed here in Louisiana they'd get to play live in front of all their friends and family. LSU is on national TV the same amount of times if not more so than USC these days. Plus we don't get some ridiculous 10pm kickoff times where the entire east coast is already packing it in.

 

I forgot to ask... Does anyone know when JM will schedule an official LSU visit? I haven't heard about any or seen any dates.

 

Im not too sure what McKnight had to say about his trip but Jones appears to have been impressed. Jones says it was an eye opening experience. Scout now lists Jones as having high interest in LSU and USC. That would really suck if LSU would lose the two top players from the state. Especially to USC. We need all the top in state players to compete with USC and their ability to recruit nationally. LSU has had the "fence" around Louisiana, I sure hope it doesnt faulter this year.

 

McNight's visit is not until after the Rose bowl.

Believe me I'd know, I have a bet with vball that we get him.....she'd have let me know if he'd visited USC anyway. She's very in tune with what goes on over there. :thumb:

 

It may not have been an official visit. He could have just tagged along with Jones. Bonus for USC.

 

If you really think a 5 star recruit would "Tag along" on a visit with recruits to one of the two programs he's considering ....... and .........on top of that, it wouldn't be mentioned in the USC forum, and or news then o.k.

Chad Jones Sets Visit With SC One of the most recent additions to the Trojan recruiting list is four-star safety prospect Chad Jones of Southern Lab HS (La.). Jones will take an official visit to SC on Dec. 15 along with friend and Louisiana native Joe McKnight.

 

That was posted on December 6 and McNight's visit was changed- not sure why he rearranged his visits so maybe the USC fans know who's visiting their coaches after all huh. :grin: :thumb:
