The Memphis Commercial Appeal is reporting (today) that McKnight will receive in-home visits from LSU (Miles and Crowton), USC (Carroll) and Ole Miss (RB Coach Wilson). Is anyone hearing anything else?
Scarborough said McKnight is the best back out of Louisiana since Carencro's Kevin Faulk in 1995. Bobby Burton, the editor of Rival.com, said McKnight is the real thing. LSU hopes to use McKnight as a tailback, in the slot and as a wide receiver as the New Orleans Saints use Bush. LSU coaches have told McKnight he will get the ball 20 or 25 times a game, according to Scarborough. McKnight has limited his college choices to USC, Ole Miss and LSU, Scarborough said. He has eliminated Alabama after repeated efforts by new coach Nick Saban to get a visit from McKnight. "Alabama's out of the picture," Scarborough said. http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070201/SPORTS0202/702010315/1028
20 to 25 times seems like a lot to me considering he is a freshman. However, if he tears it up on the field then give him the ball 50 times
Ah, but what you're missing is the breakdown: 12-15 carries 5-10 catches in the slot, split out wide, tailback, slot back, up back possible punt returns too oh yeah, he'll have the rock plenty as a true freshman
i heard from a very devoted ole miss fan is that the only reason orgeron is wanting mcknights teammate colby arceneaux is so he will talk mcknight into going with him. the fan also stated that colby has already signed with ole miss.
