OK, like most of you I am shell shocked and pissed. I pray McFadden heads on to the NFL this year (isn't he a junior?) I hope Bo knows the way to somewhere, anywhere. He took a pretty talented defense and managed to play them terribly. Have we forgotton the blitz? We did not use it vs. Kentucky nor yesterday. A couple of times we got minimum pressure on Casey Dick, the worst QB in the league, or close, flushed him and made him throw poorly. We never got to the guy from KY. How do you lose to Casey Dick? And is our defense talented? We suck at linebacker other than Highsmith. Our defensive backs play too much like the Saints perennial Johnny Poe style of run down the field behind someone. I ain't a huge fan of Saban but bet the farm had he been coaching yesterday those defensive backs would have played better as would our entire defense. We showed little imagination on offense. Appeared to me Arkansas knew every damn thing we were about to do especially in the first half. We never did thrown down the field. Had we done so yesterday though I doubt Flynn could have gotten it to them. And who on earth called a 2 pt. conversion play where we need 2 yards yet we throw a pass 13 yards to the back of the endzone? A lot of folks knocked on Jemarcus but Flynn was erratic as hell this year. We never really had a deep threat and everyone knew it. Is Perriloux so far in the doghouse we did not use him at all the past two weeks? A few series from him would have made a difference. We deserved to lose. We don't deserve to play in the NC game. And I look for us to lose the next two. I hope I am wrong and all of you on here who know better than me can maybe enlighten me. I don't mind so much losing to a team better than us, but to get beat by a far less credible opponent such as Arkansas shows me something ain't right.
Yes, but Felix Jones will come back and they have a speed back behind him on the depth chart. Also, Hillis is a Soph., I think. Well, the defense has had a a lot of injuries this season. I think our defense has played great, but tired down the stretch. We didn't... we lost to the Wild Hog Formation We have never had "great" linebackers... well never more then one usually, and I have never understood that. Yet they still couldn't stop us. Hell every time we lined up 5 wide, I was calling QB Draw... my Ohio State fan friend was calling it. Everyone watching it with me was calling it. But they still couldn't stop it. I think we should have run a hb toss to Keiland or Scott. Notice he played a lot better when RP was coming in to give him a breather and showing opposing defenses a change of pace. Miles is sending a message... I agree but in a key game, you gotta put the kid in there. Not gonna lose the next two, but I agree... a 2 loss team has no business playing for a NC.
