I would think so too but Jones will be there. In todays football the S positions done appear quite as defined as they did in the past. Unless you have more of a specialized S like Reed who is used more as a FS to roam or Lynch who was more of a SS playing up close like a LB.
This is BS....he didn't just get burnt by Harvin, it was TE's and also FB's coming out into the slot. He is just terrible in one-on-one coverage with anybody...and simply put I don't think he can cover my nine year-old on an out route! With that being said I do belive he can be successful at safety as long as he isn't forced to come up and play one-on-one coverage...if that is the case I say put someone, anybody else back there...I'm tired of the total insecure feeling he brings to the table on 3rd down knowing where the ball is going to be thrown for a first down before the ball is even snapped. I'm tired of this crap about how he's playing out of place and what not....the guy is Jason David in purple and gold in one-on-one coverage.
I threw up a little. Hard to tell if McCray is better without actually seeing him play. I don't think he's totally useless, but I don't think he's 100% the best starter for the position. He is definately NOT a man coverage guy.
