I'm sure he did because it benefited him politically, not because his beliefs changed. Donald Trump has renounced racism on multiple occasions and has never been a member of any hate group.

Well maybe one of your NAZI DEMOCRAT voters will finish the job and finally kill him at the next House baseball game.

Exposing your hypocrisy and stupidity is just too easy.

Interesting that our current enemy, Russia, backed the North and Lincoln.

Britian and France, our current allies, backed the slave trading Confederates.

In some reading about obscure history not made readily available in school, It turns out Russia was a major ally to the US both for independence and the American Civil war.

THAT Republican Party died long ago and has been replaced by republicans.

Lester Maddox, Bull Connor, George Wallace, Olin Johnston, Theodore Bilbo, Orval Faubus, Eugene Talmadge, James Byrnes, Allan Shivers, Ross Barnett, and Herman Talmadge. These were all Southern governors from 1943 to 1969. They were ALL RACISTS AND ALL DEMOCRATS. I didn't even add the RACIST SOUTHERN SENATORS THAT WERE ALL DEMOCRATS, there were a large amount.

Man you are so so so easy to make a fool of. It gets boring but always fun for me.

Not quite true. There were English who initially backed the south because of cotton but the Egyptian cotton replaced it and that interest went away. The British government never backed the south. In fact it had been anti slavery for decades. The French followed the English lead through they did have sympathy because the south was buying French railroad engines.

No, it wasn't. Winston got it exactly correct. Because of the slavery issue there was a great deal of disgust for the Confederacy among all classes of Brits.

it's a simple case of if the UK had wanted to help they would have.

And now, speaking of disgusting, back to the thread topic: what we're left with now is a fundy whacko, election-denying, anti-democracy, anti-science MAGAt idiot from Louisiana. In his acceptance speech he actually talked about his wife on her knees... so we can count on misogynistic as well.
