Maze was a non-factor.

Maze, who is a major scoring weapon for Bama, was hurt early and out of the game.

Still, LSU had no idea how to take advantage.

Maze doesn't play defense for the gumps.

It didn't matter who was out there for them. They were prepared and any player could have and actually did step up to make big plays. That's what happens when all the players stay focused and play hungry.

They're as deep as we are. One guy isn't going to make. A difference. Would have been better if jj pulled a hammy

If JJ pulled a hammy Miles would have sent him back out there. Only way JJ was getting pulled by Miles is if JJ gets compound fractures in his arms and legs.

I gotta admit, I wasn't too fond of Maze after the first game, but I can't help but root for the kid. He fought through injuries and I hated to see him go out of the game. Even though he is a gump, I really felt bad when I saw him crying on the sidelines. I think those tears dried up quickly when he saw we decided we were okay with 0 points.

Crikey! That's true--so sad--but the only way that JL would have had a chance to upset the defense plans of Nicky C'est Bon. Who knows the effect/ramifications of putting JL in! Could we have done any worse last night? My grandmother could have taken that snap and pitched a panic shovel pass a few feet down field--I shyt you not! Meh.

So frustrating. Their QB was able to move the ball through the air without their best receiver. Also, I don't recall a ball thrown towards Mo Claiborne at all. If I am right then their passing game was effective without their best receiver and using the fraction of the field not patrolled by MoC.
