Fear and possibly one of the sorriest personalities in sport will continue to build resentment and disdain for this guy. Manny doesn't fear to be great and I doubt will have few regrets looking back. Mayweather, looks like a man already struggling with his choices and the lack of respect he seems to be getting from his peers.
Mayweather was winning up until that point so I don't get it. The only explanation is that he is a coward and saw an opportunity to end the match early. Winning isn't everything, more so perception. A tainted win might as well be a loss even if he would have won anyways. This is just the beginning of the end for Floyd and he knows it too.

i guess so. but seriously, i have a real question. boxing is fixed, isnt it? i dont keep up with boxing.
fixed in that the best dont get their chance and the crappy ones on top stay there by promoters and avoiding many other sanctioned divisions of the sport. its more of manipulation than fixed so to speak.
Actual boxing matches are rarely fixed. But like Tirk said, promoters manipulate fighters and their records for bigger paydays while boxers manipulate their opponents to protect records and money too.
