Isnt Jones scheduled to fight again? Not sure if he can be considered the best of "our time" since my time may be different than yours. :)

I think over the last 30 years he is one of the best but does he rank up there with Chavez, Hopkins & the Haglers of the world? Even a Roberto Duran had about 10 straight years where nobody beat him so he is also worth mentioning. Jones was unbeatable for about 7 years but in the late 90's and early 2000's he didnt fight much and didnt have any really tough opponents. Chavez and Hagler, especially Chavez, fought everyone and fought a lot.

Styles make fights. If you take enough of them, sooner or later you will run into someone you can't beat. Roy Jones/Tarver, Vernon Forest/Shane Mosely, Delahoya/Mosely, Mosely/Wright...etc.

Shane should be fighting this fight, not Oscar. Mayweather should get 0 props for beating a past his prime Delahoya.

Here's a boxing forum I frequent that talks about the fight http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6

So about what time will the fight actually take place? Is it really 8 or will the undercards start at 8 and the big fight go off later?

I am actually pumped for this fight after watching the HBO series documenting their training leading up to the fight. They should do this more often to draw more fans to boxing these days.

All watching this has done is make me wish the days of boxing's past would return. All in all, it was a bit closer than I expected though. The mexican-americano simply ran out of steam in those last few rounds and had no way to win rounds because of it. Kinda hard to be happy for a guy like Mayweather with that filthy mouth of his.
