It's called "Standing Room Only" tickets. They usually sell 5000 of them. So they end up standing on the very wide walk way behind the back row of seats. Not a bad view actually.

Also, I'm hearing rumors they're adding another 12,000 seats in the next few years.

I was one of the FEW who watched the 0-5 loss to San Jose St in 1975! Right down to the snap threw the QBs legs into the end zone for a safety.

I think the total offense combined for both teams came to around 130 yards.

That has to be one of the worst exhibitions of american football at ANY level!!

This does not tell the whole story.
Last year Oregon played 22-25 defensive players every game, as part of the regular rotation. More than any other team in the nation. So our non starters saw vastly more playing time than backups on other teams. Also, in every single case, the person replacing a graduating defensive senior, is bigger and faster than the guy he is replacing. They are bigger, faster, and have a lot of experience. Also this will be the third year of Kelly's very non traditional practice/conditioning routine. They will be in far better physical shape than anybody expects on opening day. I think this year's defense will be much better than last years.

That being said, the loss of Cliff Harris for the opener is a big deal. He is a monster in pass coverage. He has a nose for the ball, he had both turnovers in the BCSCG last year, and came within inches of a third. His loss as a kick returner is minimal, as Barner and Huff are just as good.

Unlike teams like LSU and Alabama who have had top 10 recruiting classes every year for the last decade, Oregon has never had a top 10 recruiting class, but has been steadily increasing the ranking of its recruiting class every year for the last 5 years. Each year we replace graduating seniors with more physically gifted players. Coach Kelly has a system, particularly his practice system, which has gotten the most out of 2 and 3 star recruits. This year we have many more 4 and 5 star players, and I think people will be surprised just how much better the Ducks are this year.

Maybe so but Oregon has USC's number lately despite USC having top 10 classes so don't hang too too much on those rankings.

I will be, if you get all this depth accomplished in the first game of the season against a top 5 SEC team at a neutral site. You'll know quick enough, LSU's running game will hammer that new interior line and try to slow the game down. This is not a one dimensional team and if you start leaking in the interior of your defense and with no Harris to anchor the back side, you will get a quick idea of what the rest of the SEC already knows, they have a ton of athletes.

LSU has 29 players that started/played in games last year on that side of the ball. Of the 29, 27 recorded stats in games. 24 started/played in 5 games or more. In the two deep on that side of the ball, I only count 6 Sr's. We are still young on that side of the ball, with very good depth.

    Yes Sir.

Half way through the 3rd quarter is where we will see which depth chart really has the upper hand, similar to.....well just about EVERY LSU game. - Gonna be a great one!

My first game was in 1984, the first year I lived in Oregon. It was the USC game. Oregon lost 9-19. I actually went because I was an SC fan (Having just moved from LA), but I saw how well they played in the loss, and that the fans that were there were passionate. Once I graduated, I bought season tickets, and have been a fan ever since! Through the good and the bad!

You can blame Lane Kiffin for that! He has a habit of killing programs.

Oregon beat USC in 2007, 2008, and 2009 too.

EDIT: Just checked and saw USC won in '08 but 3 out of last 4 leaves no doubt.
