All of this is correct. This season was a disappointment. But the bowls are all out of whack with how they were scheduled this year.
Exactly... Bowls also pick the teams who they think will do the seats... Once the first six get their picks, the others usually pick by proximity... Have to remember, one of the reasons for the bowls started as a way to get tourist to visit in a normally slow time of the year...
We have 9 wins, but this is for all purposes a 10-win season. As in, this season has no less worth in reality simply because the first game was cancelled. Now that, would be crazy. I keep seeing qualifiers on the word "mediocre." I didn't say we weren't a mediocre SEC team, I said we didn't have a mediocre season.
lol i know its not an exact hierarchy of bowl dates. its simply a rather insignificant bowl we played in, relatively speaking. But i will say insignificant nationally but really big win for us needing momentum and morale going into the offseason. A loss to a sucky defensive team would have been an even darker cloud on all of that including recruiting.
We are mediocre. That's not debatable. The whole 9 or 10 win thing is just something people say to make them feel better. 9 wins means nothing when 7 of them could have been won by LSU's scout team.
