Somebody should ask Rueben about Rasco. He was in the backfield on almost every play in the Bastrop-Evangel game. If Rueben hadn't been healthy he would've spent most of his night on his back getting sacked (no homo). He was the player who got the sack with under a minute left in the 4th quarter that all but sealed the deal for Evangel.

ESPN named Kenny Hilliard the Sophomore Player of the Year

For the second straight season, a pair of running backs from the South have swept the national junior and sophomore player of the year honors.
    ...
Hilliard is even bigger than Lattimore at 6-0 and 218 pounds. Football runs in his family, as his uncle is former New Orleans Saints running back Dalton Hilliard and his cousin is current Tampa Bay Bucs wide receiver Ike Hilliard.
Kenny Hilliard was named the Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year in Louisiana. After starting as a freshman last season and rushing for more than 1,500 yards, Hilliard followed up with a sophomore season in which he piled up 2,377 yards and scored 34 touchdowns.

So at near 220 lbs.. how are his lateral moves? Or is he just a bull? I don't see bulls winning many AA awards.

Has anyone heard if Kenny Hilliard is interested in the Vols. I read on a UT board that he was very interested in Southern Cal and Tennessee. No solid source, just a guy that had a friend of a friend of a friend etc. that was a "reliable" source.

KH's first, best asset is his power...he loves contact and can move the pile. His vision and footwork improved greatly from his freshman to his sophmore year. He'll never have Uncle Dalton's moves, but he's got a good change of direction for his size and is learning how to set up his blockers, rather than just plow into the defense. Patterson loves that option/handoff out of the spread that White and Stanton perfected at WV. Kenny's learned to make the guy that gets penetration miss with a sidestep, and then take it off tackle and punish the safety. Most of his yardage came off that play this season....its impressive to watch.

I kind of heard this too (from a guy who probably got it from the same message board)

It's way too early to even think about a 2011 kid if you ask me but I guess it's somethin to keep an eye on.
