Both Hilliard and Rasco were first team All-State as FRESHMAN and were again first team All-State as sophomores this last season (Hillard plays 3A, Rasco plays 2A for Evangel). Hilliard: This last season, Hilliard was the 3A OFFENSIVE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER -- as a sophomore!!! And he got those 2,377 yards on 256 carries, giving him a 9.3 YPC. Compare sophomore Hilliard to senior Mike Ford: sophomore Hillard had 2,377 yards and 34 touchdowns, senior Ford had 2,953 yards and 29 touchdowns. Rasco: This last season, Rasco was team MVP for the Evangel team that made it to the 2A State Championship game. Rasco was at the Baton Rouge Nike Camp last year with Shep, Davenport, Mingo, Barrow--and he turned some heads. In the 2011 recruiting class, both of these guys will probably be 5-stars. It is really nice seeing that Nick Shepard is being put in the same boat as those two. And it sure would be especially nice having Dalton Hilliard's nephew playing for the Tigers!!!
