you admitted they didn't get better

you said they got rid of a fat contract. Shaq's is fatter and expires roughly the same time.

Marion still can produce NOW and would have still been a staple of the team in 3-4 years once Nash, Hill, Bell and Shaq croak.

This year the team stays roughly the same... they hurt themselves in the long haul.

true, but the difference being the team disliked marion and loves shaq. Ive said it wasnt a good deal, but not as bad as previously thought.

You cant judge it by tonight. Shaw hasnt really played in two months and he is in a new system. They didnt trade for him for the regular season.

I agree 100% that you can't judge it by tonight.

But they better have traded for him for the regular season, because if they have a 4-7 slide or a 5-9 slide, they will lose home court advantage, which they desperately need.

Im in full agreement with that.

I just think the Suns were banking on winning the West and going our early or getting in the playoffs and really competing. I dont think they were right, but the logic is there.

Shaq is playing real, real, real well in the 4th quarter and is making us look silly, but we'll see how this plays out.

He just gave his own teammate, Raja Bell a Hasim Rahman-like egg on the back of his head with an elbow.

Yeah, did you see that knot on the back of his head? Shaq's still got something left in the tank as we're seeing tonight. Don't know if they'll be able to stop Kobe now that Bell's out though.

Giving up 120+ at home is not what they got Shaq for.

    Experiment failing.

If Phoenix had lost 96-95, I would have said watch out for the Suns.

Both Gasol and Odom have 20+, too, so you can't blame it all on Raja Bell's inability to stop Kobe.

My point exactly. He is not clogging up the middle like he once did.

    Square peg meet round hole.

Yep...they have 3 legit scorers now. That's what makes the Lakers the team to beat in the West.
