    I didn't read this whole thread so I apologize if this was already brought up but the first thing I thought about while reading the title of this thread is that
    I believe App St QB graduated after last season if memory serves me right.

    I think they have a shot at winning this game but I don't think the odds are that good, 20 to 1 shot in my book!

    Like others have stated, I hope the media gives App. St. a chance so then even a "lackluster" win is still alright. This game reminds me a little about the last opener following the national championship (Oregon St.). I fully expected that we'd win big but the weather and their QB advantage (D. Anderson vs. our Randall / young Jamarcus combo) evened the playing field.

    I've always thought athletes only "choke" 1/100th of how often fans claim but that kicker for Oregon St. definitely choked. Some of my friends were pissed off after that game but I was just happy to escape with the win.

    App. St. will have the QB advantage just like Oregon St. but this LSU team just seems too talented to slip up in a nationally televised opener.
