I remember how classy their school was when they came to Tiger Stadium in 2005 on the heals of Katrina. Thier student body collected money and donated it to LSU students impacted by the storm. We gave them a standing-o when it was annouced. I have respected their school ever since. But I won't be pulling for them this fall (summer!) in Death Valley.

Right you are, my friend. I do remember them being quite a respectful group of fans, and despite the score (24-0) the game was closer than it seemed. They played with intensity... Looking forward to it.

We lost players we can't replace, blah, blah, blah,

Everyone said the same thing when we lost 4 first round picks in 2006

    Reload, not rebuild

Appy State (16,000 students) gave $20,000 to LSU's Hurricane Student Relief Fund (link1, link2).

The SEC gave $400,000 to LSU, $250,000 to Miss State, and $250,000 to Ole Miss (link) for their individual hurricane relief funds for their students -- in other words, an average of $44,444 from the each of the other 9 SEC schools went to LSU, $27,778 went to Miss State, and $27,778 went to Ole Miss.

Arizona State (64,000 students) gave a whooping $500,000 to LSU's Hurricane Student Relief Fund (link1, link2)

Other interesting donors to LSU's Hurricane Student Relief Fund:

The rich Muslim nation of Qatar (929,000 citizens) gave $3.3 million to LSU's Hurricane Student Relief Fund (link1, link2)

The Peach Bowl (Chick-fil-A Bowl) gave $100,000 to LSU's Hurricane Student Relief Fund (link).

maybe but i dont think so. hogeboom was everything to them. theyre no pushover, but without that playmaker they dont have a legit shot.

do you think they have a better shot than any SEC team at beating LSU?
