Man, I hope this guy gets a chance in a good situation. Waited behind Aaron Rodgers like anyone would have, then goes to Seattle and runs into a rookie sensation who beat him out. Then to Oakland where he really never had a chance as he is a pocket passer. If I were Minnesota, I'd drop Freeman and go get this guy. Hell, shouldn't Tampa Bay have a jet in the air right now?

It's a shame he was not able to catch on at Seattle or Oakland. Let's just hope Oakland is not his last stop. There was no supporting cast there, especially on the o-line. He already proved his is capable, now just needs to get on with a team with some potential. Maybe Green Bay or Miami?

Who is the real Matt Flynn?
Is he the guy who lit it up relieving Aaron Rodgers?
Or is he the guy who two different teams evaluated and decided he wasn't good enough to start?

    He is indeed the latter.

Luckily he got that one shot to show off and played brilliantly. And got paid.

He was a perfect fit for our 2007 Championship team. And it had a lot to do with his running ability. He made a lot of first downs that way. Definitely a dual threat.

That running ability didn't translate to the NFL level, where guys are so much faster. He has now been reduced to a pocket passer, in which he simply isn't good enough to start for an NFL team, apparently.

You can't sign a $10 a year contract and then get beat out by a 3rd round rookie draft pick. That means you really stunk things up in practice, let alone preseason games.

Sorry to see him go, was hoping he might make up for the JaMarcus debacle out here, but maybe he's just not cut out for it. Remember, he was on a pretty good team with us. Maybe he just needs to find the right fit.

He's only good if he has the right surrounding cast. Kind of like Alex Smith.

Kind of a catch 22 though since the only teams he'll get a chance on are terrible teams, so guess we'll never really get to see him succeed in the league.

Terrelle Pryor had 3 bad INT's and got sacked 10 times today. And somehow they thought Flynn was the problem. Good for their franchise.
