Absolutely. I'm so tired of it. I didn't watch the game, but the stats look good. However, I don't really think any of us truly had all that much trust in JL (or JJ) when playing at LSU.

Name the leading SEC QB from last year with QB rating of 152.0?

No. It won't. And it's not going to get better even if Mett has a great year, ESPECIALLY if Mett has a great year. People are going to want answers as to why he didn't play. Right or wrong, it's going to happen.

Of course this is how the universe is going to have it. What, did you expect him to go out there and get killed, thus letting the controversey die somewhat? Hell no.

Of course, there's no telling how much coaching he's had since January, so you can never say with certainty that whatever he did last night would have happened againt bama.

That is the way the universe would have it, and you're right we shouldn't have expected any different. I really liked Lee at LSU, he showed he has some serious balls even if he did fall out of favor with the head coach.

Congrats on his performance though, hopefully he's shown someone that he's good enough to be on a roster. Gruden had some nice things to say about him last night especially late in the game. He also singled out Brandon Taylor and had a few nice things to say about him as well. It was also cool to see Jacob Hester lined up at fullback behind Lee for the final touchdown of the game. It was one of the more entertaining early preseason games if you're an LSU fan.

Lee should thrive in an intelligent offensive scheme. Jefferson would have made a great tight end. I always thought Miles starting Jefferson over Lee because he could run was a cop out...Not putting in the required thought and effort, the work needed for a truly first class offense, where a serious threat can be had virtually anywhere on the field on any given play.

Sounds like you may need to. Im good with knowing les is les but deserves to be questioned. it wasnt some random game. it was the NC game against nick saban. This will be talked about for decades. better get used to it. and deservedly so.

and it was the talk of the national guys on tv. hence my point.

Considering his great showing in the senior bowl or whatever all-star game Lee was in and in this NFL preseason game...we know what Lee can do with a good supporting cast. He makes quick and accurate throws. Yes he does have a scary habit of panicking under pressure, but most QBs not named Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, or Tom Brady do too. This was only 7 months after the BCSNG, I'm not sure he could have changed that much without any competition. This was pretty much his first competitive game since college and he did great. Regardless of how well he does in the future, he's already a winner and a guy worth my respect.
