You're delusional if you think that what he did in college 4 years ago has anything to do with his current or future NFL contract.
All of your points are irrelevant. How he handles being the starter on a consistent basis will determine the natural selection. One game as the starter and mop up duty here and there mean next to nothing. There's been plenty of players, not just quarterbacks, that have a monster game then fade away.
and then yet again, top QB drafts are a major bust as well. IMHO, Matt has learnt the system well and his maturity should help morph the experience to elevate his game to the next level....aka....Starting QB. He looks much more ready than some of those other starting QBs.
I agree. However, people need to realize that a relatively unproven quarterback may or may not elevate a team to the next level. Kevin Kolb. Matt Cassel. Cassel had a good season for the pats...in Belichek's system. The system makes a huge difference. I want to see Matt Flynn succeed in the NFL. He has the tools to do it. I wanted him to start over Jamarcus Russell after I saw him torch "The U", but for someone to say "he's the best because he's a tiger", that makes zero phucking sense.
He'll be the starter if he goes to Miami. It appears that is where he is headed. I look at Matt as a Joe Montanna type QB. Smart, make good decisions, decent arm, and a tem player. He will do fine in Miami with their defense and skill players. Plus he's learned a great deal sitting behind Rogers.
I hope so. Like I said, I want to see him succeed, unless he's playing the saints, then I hope him and Reggie Thong catch a beatdown.
I don't think Rodgers is worried about his job. Matt Flynn had a great game against Detroit and their are teams that need new blood at QB.
MF seems like the real deal. He has played in a few game s and looked pretty solid. Matt is a SMART QB. He will be a successful QB once given the reigns on a new team. :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
