I just think he metriculated the ball down the field like a seasoned pro. Never lost his poise, even after that embarrassing snap play from center. Third down conversion after third down conversion. A few short yardage QB sneaks for first downs. He threaded the needle a few times as well in tight coverage. He didn't try to do too much. The only bad play was a blown route by Mitchell. For some reason we had about 2 or 3 plays like that. Thanks Matt for staying. You helped us immensely in winning this crystal trophy. You were our MVP tonite.
On those plays (and others) I think they may have changed a few routes to throw off OSU. Most of the time they were on the same page, but when Matt threw that pick that gave OSU points I think they got away from the changes.
It takes a LEADER, and Matt Flynn provided that leadership and skill to win the game! What a classy young man. It had to be hard sitting behind JaMarcus all those years, but when he got his opportunity, he made the most of it!!! Congratulations to Matt Flynn, starting quarterback for the National Champion LSU Tigers! That has a nice ring, doesn't it? I think it does!!!

The reason he played his best game, as he stated, the young guys had a full season and the extra time prior to the bowl to learn their assingments. There were few busted rouutes in this game. I'm sure glad he chose LSU.
Matt Flynn seems like one of those guys you could get in the 4th or 5th round, develop for 2 years, and play in a standard pro-style offense. He was impressive at running one last night. He can be successful in the NFL, on the right squad.
