Can't help but be in awe every time I see these numbers.

Karma's a b1tch. He's obviously self-motivated and this probably doesn't mean much to him but has to add a tee tiny bit of icing to the success cake.

After reading the article, this was nothing after what he'd been through.

Believe. It was tween two broads. One who was played.

Real Cute comments ... one and all ... The part I liked best was this fact

    TM was in Saban's hands!

Saban had this kid in his camp and he said NO!

And Saban will get his arse kicked on Jan 9 by the same kid he had but didn't sign ... exalt these moronic Bama mofoes for their # 1 recruiting classes ... I call Bull****e on these Recruiting rankings!

yep. i was thinking that this young man could have so easily been just another statistic. and not the good kind. kudo's not only to him for the determination to make it, but the family members who have helped to keep him on track.

For these African American kids who were granted by God with uncomparable athleticism, the more quickly they get matured, the less detour they have to take to succeed. Although sometimes it is easier said than done when you were raised under uncontrollable circumstances.

Very true. I often read about grandparents being the saving grace in kids like these lives. Shaq comes to mind too (just read his book). When kids have the right influences and determination, they can succeed and get away from it all.

    YEEOOOW!

Makes you love the guy even more. To focus that animus into something as special as he has at LSU says something about him, his coaches, AND his teammates.

This game might set Alabama back considerably if they lose it. I'll bet Nick regrets not having shown Tyrann a little more respect.

I actually knew most of this stuff. Not the official police letters and transcripts, but my entire family is from the St. Bernard projects (they have been torn down since Katrina).

My older cousins are the same age as his father. I never spoke on any of this in a forum because it's definitely not anything to brag about. Though it does tell you how focused this young man is to be where he is today.

    P.S.
But being that the kid is from my neighborhood, I route hard for him.

I've even heard that he played park ball at the same park that I played at (Willie Hall), I'm not sure how true that is.
You know how family members can get when they get to claim ties to a famous person.

    Geaux Tigers...
