Mathieu to the Saints?

    IMO a good cover FS would be more important than good cover corners for Mathieu to excel. Mathieu on a team like the Seahawks would be absolutely terrifying. He definitely needs to play the Troy Polamalu or Darren Sharper role if he wants to succeed in the NFL though.

    Go back and look at his stats, it took most players 3-4 years to come close to the stats he had after 2 years. It took me less than a quarter of football while watching him in the Ga Dome. I said, this kid should never leave the field when the defense or Special teams are on the field. Too many things he can do. An opposing QB came to the line and looked for TM, thats it. He had to be located by the QB. Some team is gonna give him a shot, he'll have his chance.

    Gordon Lockbaum was the name of the Holy Cross guy I was referring to. Finished 3rd in Heisman in '87.
