Its only going to get harder. Players have talked about how fast the greens already are. With a low if 28 tomorrow and a steady 15 mph wind, scores could get interesting. Players who have played there before should have a big advantage this weekend.
I heard an interesting stat on the Masters web site telecast. Tiger has never broken 70 in the first round. He'll have to get hot on the back nine today to do it, he's +1 thru 9. As TigerBait3 wrote, today is supposed to be the best day weather wise of the four days. Should make for a real interesting week end.
Tiger was PO'd when they interviewed him after the round. Bogeyed the last two holes to finish with a 73. Missed the fairway to the right badly with his last two tee shots. DT scrambled well on the last two holes to finish @ -2 and is in 3rd place.
Anyone see the nice put by Toms early in his round today. A few feet off the fringe, and he decided to use the putter. Nice choice!!! Anyone know how he finish?
If he isn't leading after the 3rd round I will be surprised. He's got his A game today. Update: Well he had his A game until he got to 17. Bogied the last two to ruin a good round. The amazing thing is he's only two strokes out of the lead in 3rd place.
Looks like Tiger and Appleby will be in the last group. Hard to believe the leader is only -2. Appleby really played better than most today just blew it on one hole...Augusta will do that.
After the double bogey, Appleby is now the leader at +2. Incredibly Tiger Woods is only one stroke back despite bogeys on the 17th and 18th. But he may not be in the final group. Justin Rose is also +3, but is listed as being ahead of Tiger. It has been a long time since someone who was not in the final grouping won the Masters. It should be an interesting day tomorrow.
