Boy are you full of it today. You know good and well that I've never liked or had anything to do with Teddy Kennedy and his ilk.

this has more to do with the economy (and mitt romney) than anything.

the economy went south and now the blue state hates the cost of the health insurance mandate in Mass.

unfortunately, the deep recession coincided with Dem control of the legislative and exec branches. now significant health care reform may never happen---costs will continue to skyrocket and the US budget will continue to suffer. perhaps somewhere soon tough decisions will be made of where to cut but i doubt it. instead i fear we are headed for stagflation.

No, this is where you are totally wrong and most people in this thread realize it.
It has nothing to do with Ted Kennedy, no one is mentioning Kennedy but you here.
Ted isn't running, he is dead!
You are assuming things which isn't a good idea Amigo!
This has everything to do with Obama's agenda and healthcare.
You can still defend Obama and the dems while most independents in Mass voted against them.
Even some dems have had enough of Obama!

    Strange World indeed today.
I must be full of it Cause I agree with gumborue's post also.:insane:

    Its the economy stupid?
    Remember that?
What was the unemployment rate then versus now?

give O credit, it looks like he doesnt want to play hardball and ram one of the chamber versions through. instead he is, again, looking for compromise (but this time he means it)

"Mr. Obama said in an interview on ABC News. “I would advise that we try to move quickly to coalesce around those elements of the package that people agree on.

He continued: “We know that we need insurance reform, that the health insurance companies are taking advantage of people. We know that we have to have some form of cost containment because if we don’t, then our budgets are going to blow up and we know that small businesses are going to need help so that they can provide health insurance to their families. Those are the core, some of the core elements of, to this bill.” "

Liberals can NEVER win if they admit what they stand for, "I want to tax you to death and then mismanage the money I confiscated from you" just doesn't sell very well in this day and age.

so what would republicans slogan be? "i am going to tell you i am not going to tax you, but i will find a way to make everything on the planet unaffordable, and continue to drive the middle class into poverty, and get mad because the white people are losing the country"

A huge upset. I laugh when I recall how, after the presidential election, the political pundits of the left herald described in great detalil why the election heralded the death knell for the Republican Party. The victory in Massachusetts is a shot across the bow of every democrat running for re-election in November. If a Republican can win in Massachusetts, he can win anywhere.
