Well, i guess this puts the nail in the coffin. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves, and have no one to blame for their inability to get anything passed but themselves. Now its going to back to the same ole partisan bickering back and forth and nothing getting accomplished. Way to go Democrats, you had a chance and you Failed.

not really, now we have a chance to pass a real bill. Or even better, we can do this thing in stages. First prove to us that you can cut the waste in the government healthcare plans now and then let's go from there. Let's implement plans on how to do this and reassess in 24 months. Is that so bad? We should have done this 6 months ago.

Exactly. The purpose of reform is not to appease party factions, rather to fix something that's broken. These Dems forgot that they were elected by Americans, not necessarily anti Bush liberals.

very well said. i want to believe that a lot of the blue dog and moderate dems realize who they were elected by, but made the mistake of falling in line with their "leadership" (and i use that term lightly) afraid that they would be voted out if they didnt vote with the party line. i believe that they failed to remember that what has become the party line by pelosi and reid is not what the majority of moderate dems elected them to do. the moderate dems dont want them being bush retreads, but they dont want the p/r ideology shoved down everyones throats either.

Exactly right! Pelosi and Reid completely misjudged the mandate of Obama's election and led their party down the wrong path. You wont see moderate dems and blue dogs following them any further.
