San Diego just announced they are in the sweepstakes for the Cowher bowl along with the Giants.

That's what they announced today in reality.

Bingo. This is going to be a fantastic bidding war. If dollars are his determining factor, the Gints will win. Otherwise, he'd be crazy to pass on the Chargers.

I'm still holding out hope that the Mora/Gailey/Shula thing is a ruse, and the Fins plan to get Cowher.

If that's the case, then hire your DC they keep saying should be given a shot.

It will be a lot easier to fire him after 1 year.

I don't know what's going on in Huizenga's head. He's ALREADY signed Capers as the d-coordinator, but hasn't signed a head coach or GM. How does he not know how this works? That's like buying a stereo system because of how one particular CD sounds on it.

He also agreed to pay Capers head coach type money. So talk about a strange situation already.

Only makes sense to hire an offensive genius, or something close to it. Mora is a defensive minded coach. You can already see that trainwreck a mile away.

I agree he should have been fired because of this game, for the reasons listed... stupid decisions on 4th down plays early in the game, stupid challenge that cost a time-out, and I just cannot believe that the players and coaches weren't all aware that on a 4th down play late in the game like that, you should never intercept the ball!!! Just KNOCK IT DOWN! Dumb, dumb, dumb - and while I blame the defensive guy who intercepted it, I also blame whichever player is in charge of the defensive calls out there, and the defensive coordinator, and the head coach. I learned that rule playing football when I was 8 years old!

Couldn't care less, actually. Whether Marty is a good coach or not wasn't the point of my post.
