Re: Mark May more impressive than your win over, ummm, I guess Washington and your loss to Illinois. :nope:
My point, exactly. All coaches are guilty of making boneheaded decisions. Your boy is acting like Tressel never does that. I think he's a good coach, but would be middle of the road in 'The Conference.' You can fault Miles all you want for our two OT losses this year. But you also have to credit him for the 11 wins.
Re: Mark May Not that impressive? You obviously didn't watch the game, kiddo. That was probably the most complete and well-executed game that a single team has played against a highly-ranked opponent all year. Tell me, how many BCS top 10 teams did the Luckeyes beat this year? Think these things through before you spout off, as you said earlier, 'stupid' statements.
sigh....wiseone, while you are quick to gleefully point this out some have suggested that the talent level at okla st might just be a tad below that of the prestigious ohio state university but you quickly responded with.... and then added in support of your coach you submit the following: but contradict yourself with this gem hmm....a pattern perhaps? maybe when the competition is a bit stiffer the "adjustments" just don't seem to work out? of course when i questioned the scedule the buckeyes play you respond with a bit of edginess says you you should probably take your own advice....because.... an excellent summation by P&G Fan: here's the deal wiseone...you like your coach and we like ours. just like you don't like to hear that your schedule is weak and the SEC is superior we don't like rivals bashing our coach, who btw is 33-6 and had won the toughest conference championship in America since arriving in Baton Rouge. when some one calls you out on talking smack or calls bs on your assumptions then try not to respond with vitriol but back up your assertions with facts.
The key to this game is stuffing OSU's running attack early and making Boeckman throw under pressure almost every down. If the Buckeyes are still running the ball in the fourth quarter, LSU is in trouble. My guess is the lead in January 8th's newspapers will be as follows: "Week after week, Tiger fans kept wondering when their team would put together another complete peformance like the one they had against Virginia Tech on September 8th. Last night the wondering stopped. In the New Orleans Superdome, LSU left little doubt who the best team in the nation is with a thorough demolition of Big Ten champion Ohio State, 38-10." :tigereye:
Nice was that just a dream or a wet dream ??? here are the FACTS of head to head B10 vs SEC....do you all deal with FACTS ? Interesting. And I note that tOSU is defeated 100% of the time during this same time frame. And only once was your team ranked higher than the SEC team you faced.
What ???? pay attention today. The question (put down) was about the SEC's over all dominate record(myth)against the Big ten. tomorrows lesson is SEC vs BIG 10 speed myth.
Mark May almost always picks against OSU, so this is nothing new. The guy picked 07 UM over OSU for goodness sake. He's picked against them 3-4 times this year. It is extremely rare for him to pick in favor of OSU, unless they are playing another punching bag of his. I really enjoyed his Iowa 06 prediction over OSU as well. Interesting to see another region's perception of the guy, considering midwesterners typically view him as just another typical ratings-driven instigator, like so many Espn employees. At least his 'USF should be #1, and the big east rocks' schtick is over. My favorite was when he remarked about how the NW win this year showed Michigan was back after their early meltdowns. For those unfamiliar, NW lead in the 4th... and UM needed 4-5 late TOs to come from behind.
