Mark May-LSU is walking into a buzzsaw

LSU isn't walking into a buzz saw. Bama will not crush or chop up LSU.
Like it was a Defensive slug fest in the past, I think it will be somewhat of a shoot out. LSU now has an explosive offense with Bama not having a shutdown secondary and can be exposed, and LSU having a pretty sorry defense this year. I think it could be a high scoring game.

The only way they buzz saw LSU is if they can get lots of pressure on Metts up the middle and get him moving out of the pocket. At that point it could be a long night.
I don't think LSU wins but they won't get blown out like MM is saying.

 

It all depends on how well Mett and the OL play. If both play well and to potential LSU could pull off the W. However if both struggle like they recently have then yes, it could get ugly. We know the D will give up a good bit of points. Bama is the most balanced team LSU will face all year. If the OL can run block for us to get a consistent 3-5 yards that will be huge. Then LSU can be more varied in their attack, keeping Bama honest. Mett must have his usual zip back. He cant be shorting balls or throwing into double coverage this week. He has to play smart. To be honest Im not sure what to expect tomorrow. I just hope Miles and staff finally earn their paychecks this week and have the team ready to perform.

Have you all been watching the games???? To pin our hopes on the O sounds like we are in the Big 12 where no one plays D. There is no indication in the past 9 games that our D has what it takes to stop the effing gumps. Our hope is that the past 2 weeks have seen a complete turnaround by the defense. If it doesn't the O won't be on the field enough to matter. The Stanford Oregon game played out like it did because Stanford brought a REAL D to the game.
I do harbor hope the D shows up. I think there have been flashes. Hopefully we both run and pass blitz and mix it up. We can't play smash mouth D we don't have the tools. This will be more of a test for the Chief and his ability to craft the D for this game than Cams work with the O. It seemed that Mett was off since the Fla game because he was rolled up and injured his leg. If that is healed we see an O that will do what is necessary to win.
But please to think we will out score them in a shoot out is fantasy. The gump D while not in the same category as the last few years is decent. They will stop us enough to win if we can't stop them. We need our D to be decent too.

 

Bama only beat A&M by a td. A&Ms defense is 10th? 11th? In SEC. We have 3rd ranked defense. Our offense is more balanced than A&M and our defense is twice as good. Tonight LSU will rock the bcs standings.

 

Like Stanford just did.

Ran into a fellow Tiger fan in Cleveland, ms. He's at delta state on swimming scholarship. Had on yellow tie and purple LSU sweater. Posi tiger. Hell yeah! 4 of us talking in the store and all of us predicting an upset and bcs shakeup.

 

I'm all for a bcs shake up but the last thing I wanna see is Ohio State sneaking their way into the title game. I can't stand OHio State or Urban Meyer or that weak ass schedule they play!!

 

The Gumps are owed a good screwing by the BCS in its final season.
